The book was really amazing!Ī drinking en heavily drug abuse problem.ġ0. When I’m no writing this report, the book strikes me again. The most important thing is of course he struggle to become clean and sober. The first thing that happened is that he goes to rehab, stays in rehab and comes out of rehab. The story is about one thing, becoming and staying sober and clean. What is the story about: try and mention at least three things and list them in order of their importance to you personally. When I’m confronted with drugs, then it’s up to me, do I take take or won’t I take it.Ĩ. No it doesn’t, but maybe in a later stadium of my live. Of course I have my mother, but these people were amazing.ħ.ĝoes any event or occasion in the story remind you of any time in your own life? Again, try to give at least one example. No, I wish I had so many inspiring people around me. ![]() Luckily he didn’t.Ħ.ĝoes any person in the story remind you of yourself or of anyone you know in any way? Please give at least one example. The second thing that stroke me was when he came out of rehab and the first thing he did was going to a bar, ordered the most alcoholic drink they served and looked at it, smelled at it and he made the decision, do I take this sip or don’t I take this sip. It was the nicest, the best, conversation I’ve ever read. ![]() But that conversation was so intense, so sincere, so real, I almost had to cry. The first thing that stroke me was the moment that James wanted to escape from rehab, he was outside, almost starting to collapse, but a friend, he met in rehab, came after him and talked him over. Inspiring in the fact that he was so far away, almost not to be saved, be he did came out of all the shit he was in. His complete life story is striking, emotional and very inspiring. The things I like in the story are a lot, but in particularly the emotions, his fight to stay away from the drugs, to stay sober, the people he meets in rehab. Make two lists: one for the things you like in the story, the other for things you dislike. In rehab he needs to change, but is he willing to?Can he?Must he? A lot of question rise by James.Ĥ. Then he arrives at the airport, he sees his parents and after some struggles the take him to rehab. James, The author and the leading person, is in a plane, he doesn’t know where he is going, he only knows he’s in a lot of pain. The key passage of the book is right in the beginning. It might be the passage where the problem becomes clear, or where the main character gets insight into his or her problem or where the solution to a problem becomes clear). ![]() (The key passage is the most important passage of the story. All the talking and therapy comes down to this.ģ.ĝescribe the key passage of the book. And for a non alcoholic the decision seems very reasonable and clear to me. Having a drinking problem is terrible, horrible even, but to stop with the alcohol is even harder. Select a passage from the text that you particularly like or dislike. My expectation did come true, because the book was very interesting and overall inspiring.Ģ. The cover of the book wasn’t very interesting, there were a view little coloured dots on it. His story intrigued me, it triggered something in me and that’s why I chose this book. I saw Oprah talking about the book and a week later the author was in here show.
